An update? What, can it be???

Yes, it’s only been two years since this news page was updated.  This may lead you to assume nothing of note happened in twenty four months.  In reality it’s been quite the opposite.  From Magic Smoking Monkey shows, through Improv performances and making a couple of short films the reality is I’ve been busier than ever.  So busy that updating the news page of my website has been about my lowest priority.  So much has happened it would be impractical to list it all in this post.  So instead to re-cap the last few months – here is an article from the RFT from June about GoT:Parody?  The Game of Thrones parody show I adapted and appeared in.

Next point of news – “Burger Shots” the short film written and directed by myself starring The Exacerbaters (the sketch group I am part of) got accepted into the St.Louis Filmmakers Showcase, and shows on Monday 20th July at 9:45pm in the comedy 1 segment of short films.

This marks the second year in a row our production team spacebar cinema has had a film in the showcase.  Last year our 48hr film project “Mixed Tape” was accepted in also.

Finally (for now) Improv news:-

1) I auditioned and became a part of The Improv Shop’s newest Harold team Scottie.  We had our debut show last Thursday and are performing again tomorrow (Thursday 16th July) as part of the Shop’s Harold night.  Find out more info about Scottie here, and The Improv Shop here.

2) What was once a group of improvisers knows as Empty, Full of Donuts, has now become a different team called Come on, Jackson!  We are fortunate enough to have been accepted into The Improv Shop’s Longform Showcase nights every Saturday at The Improv Shop.  Check out our next show this Saturday at 10pm.

Filmmakers Showcase, Coyote premiere II and Transmissions From Colony One.

"The Nerd" from "A Really Big Joke"

“The Nerd” from “A Really Big Joke”

A triple dose of news today.

First, two of the films I acted in earlier this year made it into the St.Louis Filmmakers Showcase.  “A Really Big Joke”, by Quinn T Faerber and “The Homeless Network”, by Todd Metheny.  At this moment exact screening dates and times are not announced, but the showcase runs from July 14th to July 18th.

Second, “Coyote”, the feature I had a cameo role in, shot last summer, is having a second FREE premiere at MX Movies in downtown St.Louis.  The showing will be on June 14th at 11pm, click here for the Facebook event.

Finally, my first voice acting performance (not counting a few narrative roles) as Pete Ross, a robotics expert in John Richter’s “Transmissions From Colony One : Season One”.  This is a sci-fi audio drama following a crew sent to Mars to settle it and make it suitable for human colonization.  The first two episodes will air on July 4th at noon, and will be available on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher and Sirius XM.  Keep watch here for more details!

It’s been an amazing ride, but tonight the final two shows of “Stupefy! The 90-Minute Harry Potter” depart platform 9.75.

I’ve been so busy the last week, I didn’t have a chance to post the links to these awesome reviews.

If you DO NOT have tickets, come to the show an hour before we start (6:30 for early, 9:30 for late) and get your name on the list. We have approx. 10 seats that can be sold that way. Regional Arts Commission – 6128 Delmar Blvd St Louis, MO 63112
